Communications Effectiveness
In today’s market, hospitals are finding it essential to teach their employees how to better communicate with one another. Why? Improved
communication contributes to higher productivity, reduced conflict, higher morale and more effective teamwork.
One of the keys to more effective communication—and more productive interaction with others—is gaining a greater knowledge of
oneself. It’s difficult if not impossible to increase self knowledge and improve communication on a long-term basis without the help
of reliable assessment tools. Properly interpreted and used, assessments provide a management team with better understanding of each team
member and lead to markedly improved communications.
To get at this issue, we use two different assessments. One describes the HOW of behavior while the other illustrates the WHY of behavior,
i.e., the underlying values that influence a person’s actions. Ongoing research places our assessments among the most highly validated
instruments on the market today.

Assessment instruments do not stand alone; they are validated diagnostic tools accompanied by professional interpretation and coaching on
a one-on-one and/or team basis. Experience has shown that this combination is very effective in improving communication throughout the organization.
“The greatest problem of communication is the illusion that it has been accomplished.”
— George Bernard Shaw
“What do you mean we don't communicate? Just yesterday I faxed you a reply to the recorded message you left
on my answering machine.”
— Wall Street Journal
