Retreat and Meeting Facilitation
An objective and experienced facilitator can be of great help when an organization is planning a retreat, developing a strategic plan, working
on a particularly difficult problem or resolving conflict. The presence of a facilitator allows everyone to participate and usually leads to
a very successful project.
As facilitators, we work with you to clarify the purpose of the meeting and to determine your vision of a successful outcome. We conduct background
interviews with event participants and prepare an agenda for your final approval.
During the meeting, we work to assure participation and input from all participants, offer suggestions to stimulate discussion, challenge conclusions
where necessary, and guide the group toward a satisfactory outcome.
Following the meeting we prepare a summary report that gives you a recording of the retreat or meeting discussions, decisions and recommendations.
We offer you the benefit of extensive experience in a variety of settings: Board meetings, medical staff and management retreats, executive
meetings, physician group discussions and the like. Most groups involve 10 – 25 persons; sometimes they will be considerably larger or
even
as small as two or three. The number depends on how many are party to resolving the issue or conflict and reaching a common understanding.
